no more ampallang as of this morning. Somehow the two rings were causing a great deal of irritation and always hurt, rather then healing they actually got worse then they were initially. I'd hoped to switch them out for labret studs but couldnt make it to graceland until friday. Getting the right one out was almost intolerably painful...i knew itd hurt since he used externally threaded jewelry and used a taper to get them in wtihout damaging the tissue. But somehow, when i got to the threads on the right one, it stopped. The threads became stuck in the skin. And that sucked. Hopefully i'll heal better now.

Here's an interesting theory on why the Oceanic Six need to go back to the Island...
Daniel said the rules don't apply to Desmond, the whole chain of events that allowed the six to successfully leave the Island was set in motion when Desmond saved Naomi because of his visions. Had he not done that she would have died and they never would ahve gotten off the Island, so because of Desmond's intervention the timeline was altered and an alternate stream was created defying Dan's rules. The 70 hour deadline given to Ben could be when the two timelines converge and collapse in on themselves unless the situation is rectified with the Six returning somewhat like Donnie Darko.

If you were to get a phrase scarred onto your body, where would you get it done and how would you arrange it?

So I was supposed to work 9-2 but got out around 1 30, got picked up at two and got to manhattan around 4 30. Manhattan sucks and we had nothing to do for several hours, at a kfc/dunkin donuts/haagen daazs/nedicks a man took a picture of my finger for his daughter. Eventually, after spending some time in a three level toys r us, we took a subway to brooklyn and wandered around with my gps until deciding to hail a cab to get to pure body arts to talk to brian about my subincision, the russian who picked us up had no idea where havemeyer st was and had to call it in. When we got there we found most of the suspension group waiting for him to get off: it was at his house. We set the date for january 20 at 6pm and brian called us a car. The suspension was indescribable really, they marked my back and had me lie down on a table where they pierced me with 8 ga hooks-two at a time. I stood up and they folded the table and put it aside, they threaded a rope through a rig that was set up on a pully system and through the hooks and then a guy in the corner pulled the rope and applied pressure. ALthough i expected intense pain the sensation was of a pulling, almost tearing, and though it may not sound it; it was amazing. To get me off the ground one of the guys took my hand and had me walk towards him and then step away and the guy with the rope would pull. I had to stop two or three times because it was at this point that the pain was at its worst. Afer getting up though the pain went away pretty quickly and they told me to keep moving "or itll probably suck". so i kept swinging back and forth...then i found out i could rotate and i had fun with that for a while. While up i discussed with brian various questions about the subincision and the best route back to grand central. The whole time i was aware of the pulling in my back and the whole thing created a euphoria, i was up for nearly an hour but i never tired of it and didnt want to come down but knew i had to. Upon coming down i was very aware of gravity and my upper back felt much heavier then it should have, to the point where it kept me hunched over. They put the table back, pulled out the hooks and then massaged the trapped air out of my back before bandaging it. THey let me keep the hooks. Aferwards we took a subway to 14th and walked to grand central. Just got home now. No pictures to be posted here but there elsewhere-go find them.
Mike was there too.

Decision:
Putting off the surgical procedures in favour of a single deep apadravya. See how it heals/if it heals, and go from there.

Two days in a row strange black men have gone out of their way to stop me in order to compliment my shirt.
I spent about six hours at radioshack today. Played an intense game of Oregon Trail. Don't wanna be awake anymore but The Shield is on.

Just posted this on the Terminator 4 boards and think that it may actually be a somewhat viable explanation of the Terminator timeline(s) for anyone interested.
two? their seem to be 4 at this point.
Timeline 1-Skynet initiates Judgement Day in 1997. John Connor leads the human resistance and eventually destroys its mainframe. The machines send a Terminator back in time to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor and the Resistance sends back Kyle Reese to protect her.
Timeline 2-13 years before Skynet becomes self aware Sarah Connor is attacked by the Terminator, paradoxically impregnated with John Connor by Kyle Reese and barely manages to destroy the Terminator in a hydraulic press. Cyberdyne Systems develops Skynet based off the design of the Terminator's arm and a chip. Judgement Day occurs for the second time in 1997, John Connor leads the resistance which destroys Skynet's mainframe and the machines inexplicably send back the T-1000 to kill John Connor in a time when he would be prepared for a possible attack. The resistance sends back a reprogrammed T-800 to defend him.
just as an aside, the reason that the first two movies are on different timelines is because in order for Skynet to know that it had to send back a second terminator it would have to know that the first attempt failed; which it would be unable to do if it were destroyed by the Resistance. Additionally even if it were not destroyed the timeline wouldn't just "be different", it would only be affect an alternate timeline which technically wouldn't exist until after the Terminator's are sent back. If you plan to suggest that both Terminator's are sent back at the same time then i ask you: why bother? why send two entirely different models back at two different points in the timeline where ones success totally cancels out the action of sending back the other one and creates an unneccesary paradox? Why not just send the T-1000 back to kill Sarah in 1984 if that model existed at that point? Which raises an interesting point, ignoring the paradox of John's conception, (or possibly accepting that since Sarah wouldnt have met Reese in the original timeline and thus someone else would have fathered John) is it possible that the presence of the Terminator's remains in the second timeline actually changed things? Obviously Skynet was created without those remains originally and maybe thats why T-800 was the one sent back originally, whereas starting work on Skynet earlier based off the new technology altered what Skynet was and allowed it to create a bbetter terminator. Although again, it doesn't seem to make sense that it would send the better terminator back to a different point in the timeline.
Timeline 3-Event's of T2.
Timeline 4-Whatever Terminator 3's background was. This is on an entirely different timeline because Skynet is now software, and the T-800 knew this when he was sent back. Additionally because John is now married in the future and killed by the Terminator. Thus Judgement Day played out again.
The only really obvious continuity error in the series is that each movie technically cancels out the events of the previous one. For example, in T-2 the events of T-1 DID happen, just on a different timeline. Therefore the John Connor who is being pursued by the T-1000 should not be aware of the events of the first movie, but the John Connor who sent the T-800 back to protect himself should. That and Skynet is a remarkably stubborn machine considering how many times it's failed at the completely absurd time travel scheme. One would think, that being an incredibly advanced defense computer, it might learn from previous mistakes and simply not allow the resistance to get close enough to destroy it. Why even bother creating things like the T-1000 if it's not gonna use it for self defense? Surely if offense is all it's looking for the T-800 would more then suffice.

Well RevCo's new album is...bizarre. But I expected no less, that's gonna be a fun show next year.
On the other hand Slipknot's album is only okay, only one or two tracks actually stand out to me.

i saw the dark knight again w/paul at the galleria. as soon as we walked in the greeter was watching us and kinda moved w/us when i intentionally walked around him, we walked to the theatre to get the showtime and on our way out a fat black security guard was audibly describing us into a radio and watching us walk and one of them standing outside best buy went out of his way to greet us. later there was an actual SWAT team member standing at the ticket booth.
on another note:

(not that you can tell, but i got a vertical tragus on my left ear. it was interesting as she had to pierce it very slowly to make sure the needle didnt punch out either side. most likely, im told, it will reject.)
